Experience Report: Adopting a Trusted Service List at the Brazilian National Research and Education Network

Abstract
This paper examines how the Brazilian National Research and Education Network (RNP) developed and manages its Trusted Service List (TSL), a repository that holds information about trusted services in an interoperable XML document. The list plays a crucial role in the security and integrity of digital services, supporting processes such as electronic signatures and authenticity checks. Managing it requires strict compliance with the technical and security requirements set by ETSI. The work details the structure of the list and the macro processes for including and removing services created by RNP, showing why they matter for trust in the catalogued services.
